While fame and notoriety can be exciting — think endless streams of money, flashy red carpet events, and mingling with society’s elite — living in the public eye also comes with its share of scrutiny and judgment.
This is something Paris Hilton has experienced firsthand throughout her life in the spotlight.
However, things took a nasty turn recently when cruel internet trolls targeted her baby son’s appearance.
In 2023, the reality TV star turned businesswoman found herself defending her 9-month-old son, Phoenix Barron, after negative comments appeared on her social media about his head size.
Paris, known for her confidence, didn’t hesitate to stand up and protect her firstborn child.

Paris and her husband, Carter Reum, welcomed Phoenix via surrogate, marking their first child together (Carter also has a daughter named Evie from a previous relationship). As new parents, they’ve been navigating the joys and challenges of parenthood with love and devotion.
During a trip to New York, Paris shared a photo of herself holding her son.
In the comments section, some users made cruel remarks about Phoenix’s head size. Hurtful comments like “Man got a lot of thoughts up there” and “I heard this baby was created in a lab. And she didn’t carry it” appeared, with others adding their own negative opinions.
In response to the unwarranted criticism, Paris expressed her frustration, saying: “There are some sick people in this world. My angel is perfectly healthy. And yes, of course he has been to a doctor, he just has a large brain.”
She also added: “[My parents] are just so obsessed with him. I’m always calling my mom and my sister [Nicky Hilton] for advice, and I’m really lucky that I’m so close with my family, so I have such a big support group.”

This recent incident serves as a reminder that even celebrities are not immune to online criticism and hate.
Children should always be off-limits when it comes to negativity and criticism, but Paris’s willingness to stand up to the cruel trolls shows the unwavering love she has for her son.
